PrayerCenter

Prayer is a search for meaning and connection with something beyond ourselves. There is no wrong way to pray, but there are different “methods” that work for different people. For some, quiet contemplation is prayer; for others, engaging in social action is their form of prayer. In a balanced life, the social activist needs some quiet time and the contemplative needs to take their faith into the street.

We attempt to provide a little of both. For example, sometimes we will say a prayer out loud during worship; at other times, our prayer is a casserole delivered to a grieving family or a protest on the steps of the state Capitol. Whether it is lighting a candle during worship or going on a retreat; whether its discussing a current issue or studying the Bible, we are a people at prayer.

On this page you will find a variety of resources designed to engage your search for meaning and need for spiritual connection. You are also welcome to contact the pastor for a private conversation.
