Music Ministry at Park Hill Congregational Church

The Music Ministry welcomes all participants. If you like to sing, PHCC has three
excellent opportunities: Sanctuary, Gospel and Youth Choirs.  There are also numerous opportunities to sing in vocal ensembles.   Rehearsals for Sanctuary and Gospel Choirs are scheduled for most Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m.

The Gospel Choir and Band will continue to provide music on 3rd Sundays. (Choir rehearsals are at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays.)

The Sunday Singers and youth choir will continue to sing this season. Stay tuned for more information.

We are fortunate to have the PHCC Wind Ensemble and Gospel Band as an important part of our worship services.

Taize-style worship services will be conducted on the 1st Wednesdays of September, October and November at 6:15 PM. There are opportunities for both singers and instrumentalists to participate in these worship services.

We will also again be fortunate to hear some of our favorite visiting musical groups during worship, as well as hosting several concerts.

The PHCC Wind Ensemble team walked the MS WALK and collected more than $1500. 
They walked in honor of Melody Hardy, a member of the PHCC Music Ministry and
Carrie Simpkins, daughter of Sid Smith of the PHCC Music Ministry.


 


 

Instrumentalists of all shapes and sizes, flavors and levels of expertise are also invited to contribute to our worship experience. There are opportunities to play with the church's instrumental groups:
Park Hill Flutes, Gospel Band and other instrumental groups.

DRUMMING FOR PHCC
PHCC has acquired a professional drum set for use in the Gospel and Youth Choir programs. We are fortunate that we have one of our youth choir members “in training” to drum for us. In the meantime, if you know of someone (or YOU are that someone) who would like to sit in on Gospel Sundays, Please contact Billie.
